About The Position

SUMMARY: This position is responsible for assisting with the processing of tax returns and payments; completing monthly general ledger account reconciliations; running errands for the department - making copies, filing, etc.; pulling invoices and other pertinent data for non-income tax purposes; and any other project needs of the non-income tax team. Based on initiative this position offers the potential for exposure to accounting systems, tax data analysis, and a financial perspective; customer service; large corporate environment; business planning; and enhancement of computer skills. Please Note: This role is a year-round opportunity that requires the selected candidate to work 15 – 20 hours per week during the school year, and as many as 40 hours per week during the summer. This role also requires the selected candidate to work in office at Tyson Foods’ Springdale, AR World Headquarters. Requirements

• EDUCATION: Finance or Accounting major preferred. Incoming junior or senior classification preferred, with at least one year of school remaining. Candidates planning to pursue additional education after completing their undergraduate degree must note this on their resume to ensure full consideration. The selected candidate must maintain active student status for the entire duration of the internship.
• EXPERIENCE: Previous work experience in any field.
• COMPUTER SKILLS: Strong computer skills and the ability to multi-task. Working knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Strong written and verbal skills
• SPECIAL SKILLS: Must be a self-starter who possesses the ability to manage their time and work both independently and in teams.
• This internship is a year-round role where candidates are expected to work part-time (20 hours/week) during the school year and full-time (40 hours per week) during the summer.
• This is a year-round paid internship located at our Springdale, Arkansas World Headquarters.
• The candidate must be within commutable distance to the facility, which is 60 miles or less.
