Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 18 years’ old
  • Previous experience working with school-age children

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the instruction of young children with learning differences, fostering an inclusive and supportive environment where every student can thrive.
  • Dive into lesson plans with creativity and enthusiasm, leading small and large group instruction that sparks curiosity and ignites passion for learning.
  • Utilize effective classroom management strategies to create a positive and engaging learning environment for students.
  • Support the lead teacher by assisting with organization, cleaning, and preparation of materials, ensuring smooth and efficient classroom operations.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times, both in and out of the classroom, by following established procedures and exercising common sense.
  • Take on the responsibility of leading the classroom in the absence of the teacher, showcasing your leadership skills and ability to adapt to changing situations.
  • Interact with students in a positive and supportive manner during learning and leisure time, serving as a mentor and guide.
  • Lead recreational activities and group games during breaks, fostering socialization and teamwork among students.
  • Adhere to HIPAA guidelines to always ensure the confidentiality of student information.
