About The Position

We are seeking an energetic Teacher's Assistant to join our team! You will be helping the lead teacher with her class of students teaching academics with hands on learning activities and teaching teaching the importance of kindness and compassion, school rules and regulations. We are looking for someone that is passionate about teaching and helping children reach their potential. We want to find someone with strong creative and problem-solving skills that also loves connecting with individual students and creating an engaging classroom environment.

Requirements

Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in education and classroom management
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of classroom health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and ability to closely adhere to the guidelines
Problem-solving and mediation skills
Negative TB test, Fingerprints and Mandatory training classes through Nevada Registry

Responsibilities

Create and follow a age appropriate curriculum
Teaching developmental skills
Assist children with developing social and emotional skills
Use a range of instructional methods and learning techniques
Communicate well with parents and other school personnel
Help lead teacher assess student's skills and performance to ensure they are meeting developmental milestones
Teaching children to be independent
Teach using the Love and Logic Philosophy
Promote Kindness and Compassion
