About The Position

Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging ELA lessons to meet curriculum standards and student needs. Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their learning journey. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment, promoting respect and collaboration. Collaborate with colleagues to align teaching practices and share best practices. Attend professional development sessions to enhance teaching skills and stay updated with educational trends. Communicate regularly with parents/guardians to ensure a strong home-school connection. Participate in school events and extracurricular activities to promote a well-rounded education. Maintain accurate records and documentation as required by the school and district. Uphold the values and mission of Aurora Public Schools, contributing to a positive school culture. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field, with a focus on Elementary Education. Valid teaching certification for the state, with an endorsement in Elementary Education. Minimum of 1-2 years of teaching experience, preferably in a departmentalized setting. Strong knowledge of ELA curriculum and best practices in literacy instruction. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships. Creative and innovative approach to teaching, with a passion for student engagement.
