As a Substitute Infant Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in nurturing and supporting the developmental growth of infants and toddlers and their readiness for school. This on-call as needed (per diem) position supports developmentally appropriate activities and fosters child engagement to promote growth and learning.
Requirements
- High school diploma or Infant Child Development Associate (CDA)
- Experience in an Infant/Toddler setting or a similar role working with children and teams
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a team
- Basic computer skills to facilitate communication within the agency
- A collaborative mindset with a commitment to the mission of supporting children, families and communities
- Successful completion of a post-offer, pre-employment physical examination, TB screen, and background screen inclusive of CHRI and CARI check is required.
Responsibilities
- Providing daily care, including feeding, diapering, and creating a stimulating learning environment
- Implement the program's Infant/Toddler Curriculum and model best practices for staff and families
- Conducting developmental screenings, ongoing assessments, and collaborating with the team to support child and family needs
- Collaborating with families, community partners, and program staff to meet educational and family engagement objectives
- Promoting a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment
