Job Description: Teach students to build, maintain and repair both computer and networking systems. Teach students to administer, maintain, and troubleshoot Novell/Windows networks. Teach students how to configuration and maintain a web server as well as design and maintain a website Teach occupational skills and knowledge to provide students with the competence to become skilled in their field. Develop lesson plans and organized class time so that preparation, instruction, shop work, and clean-up activities can be accomplished within the allotted time. Demonstrate occupational materials, equipment, instruments, and processes using stand or teacher-prepared models, mock ups, sketches, and other instructional aides. Guide students in the selection and performance of appropriate activities. Provide individual and group instruction appropriate t the needs of the students and the requirements of the activities being performed. Instruct students in the appropriate safety precautions and the safe operation and use of instruments and equipment. Control storage, maintains standard of student conduct to provide an orderly, safe, and productive environment in an activity-type classroom. Maintains accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulations. Communicates with employers, parents, and school counselors on individual student progress. Evaluates each student’s performance, knowledge, and skills in the course being taught, as well as prepare progress reports. Other assigned duties.
