About this job: Deliver instruction in the areas of literacy, science and/or math to students during the ESY Summer Program. Monitor student progress with ESY Summer Program learning objectives and provide individualized instruction to students to support them in mastering the objectives. Create a positive classroom community and communicate with students' families about their academic performance. Request assistance from Special Service Providers to support student's social and emotional well-being Dates and Hours: May 7th - Tentative Staff Orientation Day (4 p.m - 5 p.m.) June 5th - ESY Staff Planning Day June 8th - July 10th 2026. (Monday - Thursday, no Fridays) Hours: 7:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Sites: All sites will be ECE-12: Place Bridge Academy, Kaiser, William “Bill” Roberts, Florida Pitt-Waller and Centennial. Requirements

Bachelor's Degree, required
Current Colorado Department of Education Teachers License with endorsement in Special Education
Knowledge with Google Suite products including Doc, Sheets and Gmail
Ability to demonstrate critical thinking and problem solving skills
Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices including small group instruction
Ability to manage the classroom and coordinate and instruct student activities
The ability to take responsibility for one’s own performance
Works effectively as a member of multidisciplinary team
Aptitude for variety and changing expectations in a fast paced environment
Ability to work with a diverse student population
Lead for racial and educational excellence and work to dismantle systems of oppression and inequity in our community, along with believing in and supporting all students so they feel seen and heard with access to high quality education.

Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NCI) is preferred.

Responsibilities

Collaborates with referring school staff about appropriate instructional programming for students.
Acquires instructional materials from students’ referring teacher(s) or specialist(s).
Provides instructional support based on students’ Individualized Education Program (IEP).
Provides student supervision as directed by the Extended School Year (ESY) SEIS Coordinator and ESY Site Leader.
Collaborates with other staff (Paraprofessionals and Specialized Service Providers) at the site to inform and support IEP goals and objectives.
Provides direction for paraprofessional(s) assigned to the classroom.
Returns ESY student outcomes to referring or sending school IEP Caseworkers.
Supervises students in classrooms, playgrounds, lunchrooms, and during the loading/unloading of buses.
Provides non-academic support to meet students’ needs (e.g., lifting/positioning, personal hygiene, toileting and diapering, tube feeding, and catheterization).
Documents for compliance record keeping and reporting.
Identifies opportunities for improvement, prioritizes, and recommends solutions to management.
Monitors, supervises, coordinates, and enforces rules of conduct and behavior of assigned students.
Reinforces positive student behaviors in accordance with school and District policy.
Observes, evaluates, reports, and records student performance, behavior, social development, and physical health.
Prepares, administers, assigns, and grades tests and assignments to evaluate student progress.
Informs ESY Site Leader about any health and safety concerns in a timely manner.
May be asked to assist in other classrooms or ESY sites based on student and program needs.
Performs other duties as assigned.
