About The Position

Join a passionate early childhood education team at the Wilder Child Development Center in making a positive impact on families through a whole family focus. At Wilder we are proud to be a Head Start co-education site, NAEYC-accredited, and hold a 4-star Parent Aware rating, ensuring our commitment to excellence. As a valued team member, you will actively work and participate with our team of teachers and staff to provide support and services to children and their families as a role model for children; Guide diverse children using a strengths-based, culturally relevant approach that supports the whole family; Support the development and implementation of plans for activities, events and projects that align with Wilder’s strategy and CDC’s goals; and help maintain an incredible experience and environment that’s clean, welcoming and accessible for children and their families such as light housekeeping, laundry, occasional meal prep and cleanup. You will be expected to complete the Child Development Associate (CDA) credential after hire. The CDC provides full financial support for obtaining this credential.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or GED is required
  • A minimum of six (6) months of experience working with a diverse group of toddlers, young children, and their families
  • You take pride in maintaining cleanliness, health, safety, security, and privacy at all times
  • You’re friendly, inclusive, and respectful, valuing people from all backgrounds and experiences, and you approach others with empathy and care
  • You’re self-motivated and can work independently, but you’re not afraid to ask questions or seek clarification when needed and also efficient and organized, able to manage your time and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Fluency in English is required
  • You should also hold a current First Aid and CPR certification

  • It’s a plus if you speak additional languages!
