About The Position

The main purpose of this position is to Identify and recruit current Werner Drivers to assume a Team Driver type position within either the Van Network or Specialized Services. This would include recruiting for Full Team Driver, Split Team Driver, Trainer, or Jumper Driver. Supervise the Team Capacity Developer group daily on Team Driver pair up goals and initiatives. The job functions listed below represent the essential job duties and responsibilities of the above-listed position.

Requirements

  • Have a background in customer service or recruiting.
  • Basic knowledge of gmail, gcalendar, gdoc's....etc.
  • Ability to communicate with internal and external customers in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Knowledge of Werner Enterprises policies and procedures, usually gained through practical experience and on-the-job training.
  • Knowledge of D.O.T. regulations with regards to the trucking industry.
  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Knowledge of U.S. geography.
  • Associates degree and transportation experience preferred.
  • One year transportation experience preferred.
  • One to two years AS400 or P.C. experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with the Driver Career Center to identify and solicit Drivers who are interested in Team driving.
  • Manage and disseminate Driver Domicile information to identify and solicit eligible Drivers for specific accounts and/or teammates.
  • Weekly, communicate a list of all Drivers who are eligible to receive their Team account’s sign-on bonus.
  • Assist in routing all Drivers to the locations where they will team up and begin driving together.
  • Assist in filling all assigned openings on Team-driving accounts.
  • Work towards daily goals and objectives of the Team Capacity Developer group.
  • Facilitate discussions with Werner Drivers that are interested in becoming a full Team Driver.
  • Mediate problem/solution issues that may arise between collaborating groups/departments.
  • Timely and regular attendance according to the scheduled shift as determined by supervisory personnel.
