This position coordinates CRG requests with the Assistant Physical Security Operations Manager and ensures requisitions are entered. Additionally, this position evaluates applicants, schedules interviews, and completes all interview documentation to appropriately recommend job offer to applicants. This position orients, mentors, coaches, trains, and documents Security Officer Caregivers on standard operating procedures and improvements with patient/visitor interactions for all shifts. The Team Lead II works with the Assistant Physical Security Operations Manager to recommend, document, and deliver performance enhancement as outlined by policy. This position regularly interacts with leaders/senior leaders at the assigned site. Regular huddles to debrief patient/visitor interactions to support future improvements are conducted. This position ensures that daily work is completed to department standards on all shifts and recommends/implements new or adjustments to existing procedures. The Team Lead II makes service and staffing decisions independently and in collaboration with others and is responsible for redirecting the workload when appropriate for all shifts. Ensures regular Preventative Maintenance (PMs) and ILSM checks are completed by assigned deadlines as well as plans, organizes, and executes drills and inspections. The position assists with the development plans of assigned staff and ensures Security Officers in their scope complete training on or ahead of assigned deadlines. The Team Lead II ensures excellent customer service and communicates regularly with the Director of Nursing, Director of Operations, and the ED Manager for situational awareness. Emergent Security Officer schedule changes for all shifts are addressed by the Team Lead II which includes being assigned as on-call leader. Ensures Security Officer documentation is complete and detailed. The Team Lead II ensures all officers at the site receive regular communication to maintain situational awareness. The Team Lead II makes coordinates physical security requests such as keys and badges. Additionally, this position participates in new and remodel construction meetings as needed. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ohio Peace Officers Training Academy (OPOTA), Ohio Corrections Officer Training or Military Police Experience preferred

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of 36 hour basic fire training, IAHSS Advanced Level Certification (CAHSO), and/or Security System training preferred
  • Certified Healthcare Emergency Professional (CHEP) within 1 year of employment
  • Certified IAHSS Supervisor Level Certification (CHSS)
