About The Position

The Assembly Team Leader is responsible for overseeing personnel, production flow, and assembly operations. This role ensures customer requirements are met through efficient scheduling, resource management, and adherence to standard work processes. The Team Lead will communicate activities across shifts to maintain smooth operational handoffs.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
  • 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year of experience leading or supervising people.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Technical knowledge of assembly line processes and operations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and direct assembly team activities, ensuring products are built safely, accurately, and efficiently.
  • Plan and coordinate schedules, task assignments, and resources to meet production, quality, and delivery targets.
  • Ensure team members follow all assembly procedures, quality standards, safety protocols, and proper use of PPE.
  • Train new and existing team members on procedures, quality expectations, and safety requirements; provide ongoing coaching and development.
  • Maintain a safe, organized workspace by sustaining 5S+ standards and ensuring compliance with all EHS guidelines.
  • Manage inventory accuracy, including storage practices, transactions, and identification/disposal of excess or obsolete materials.
  • Address production issues, perform root‑cause analysis, and implement improvements to enhance workflow and efficiency.
  • Coordinate with other departments and shift leaders to ensure smooth operations and effective communication.
  • Respond to changing conditions such as material shortages, staffing adjustments, or schedule changes with sound judgment.
  • Report production metrics and operational updates to supervisors or managers.
  • Use lift‑assist devices or partner lifts when handling materials; ability to lift up to 40 lbs and push/pull up to 100 lbs. with or without accommodation.
