American Structurepoint is seeking a Team Leader to provide leadership, project oversight, and business unit management within the Civil Engineering Group. This role is responsible for guiding a team of professionals, managing complex projects, and driving client relationships to achieve revenue and growth objectives. The Team Leader serves as a senior-level leader who combines technical expertise with strong management skills—ensuring project quality, profitability, and team development.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 10+ years of progressive experience in civil engineering and project management.
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage large-scale projects.
- Strong understanding of civil/site design principles and multi-discipline coordination.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Nice To Haves
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of 5+ staff members, providing direction and mentorship.
- Oversee and manage more than $1M in annual project revenue.
- Build and maintain client relationships, securing approximately $750K in annual revenue.
- Manage and lead a business unit, including staffing, resource allocation, and performance oversight.
- Perform final QA/QC reviews on complex civil engineering projects.
- Manage multi-discipline projects from concept through completion.
- Assist Group Leader with annual revenue forecasts and strategic planning.
- Participate in hiring interviews and staff development initiatives.
- Proactively communicate and coordinate internally and externally to ensure project success.
- Mentor Project Managers and delegate tasks effectively to ensure team efficiency.
- Support Group Leader with staff development and succession planning.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
