Job Title: Team Leader Reports To: Value Stream Manager Role Overview The Team Leader plays a critical hands-on leadership role within Mott’s manufacturing operations. This position serves as a role model on the production floor, balancing daily execution with coaching, problem-solving, and continuous improvement. Team Leaders directly influence safety, quality, delivery, and team performance, acting as a key driver of operational excellence. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of five years of manufacturing experience (or three years at Mott)
  • Prior leadership experience
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement and Lean methodologies
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and manufacturing documentation
  • Lean Manufacturing

Responsibilities

  • Analyze manufacturing and sales order data daily to identify issues, set priorities, and assign personnel across multiple manufacturing cells
  • Support production needs by producing or inspecting parts to ensure schedules and quality requirements are met
  • Collect and analyze manufacturing data to identify gaps and improvement opportunities; partner with Quality and Engineering on solutions
  • Lead and complete continuous improvement initiatives as assigned by the Value Stream Manager
  • Monitor employee performance and address corrective actions up to documented records when necessary
  • Drive resolution of customer complaints in collaboration with the Quality team
  • Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, and teamwork
