Requirements
- High school diploma or GED; 3 months related experience and/or training; Level 2 qualified, CDL is preferred, but experience driving tractor trailer and operating heavy equipment is required.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, quality manuals, operational procedures and work instructions.
- Ability to complete necessary documentation.
- Ability to speak effectively with customers or employees of the organization.
- Ability to understand and to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
- Knowledge of metric system.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Basic computer skills including word processing.
- Basic understanding of machine operation and conditions.
Responsibilities
- Monitor transfer reports and move coils as needed for production/operations.
- Complete daily log sheet of work completed during shift.
- Follow all written instructions to perform job duties properly and safetly.
- Operates equipment as needed to perform job duties.
- Ensures data is entered into the computer system(s).
- Performs visual checks of product to ensure all applicable standards are met.
- Performs all work in a safe manner and ensures safety in the work area.
- Participates in the Kaizen (continuous improvement) program.
