We’re looking for a TEAP Counselor to support students at Job Corps through substance use education, prevention, and early intervention services. In this role, you’ll work directly with students to promote healthy choices, support personal growth, and help them stay focused on their education and career goals. The TEAP Counselor is responsible to develop and facilitate the Center’s alcohol, drug and tobacco prevention program. Educates and counsels students to reduce and prevent drug-related separations from the program. Develops individualized case management plans to enhance student retention and success. Ensures confidentiality of sensitive information and compliance with all HIPAA laws. What You’ll Do: Conduct substance use screenings, assessments, and intakes for students Provide individual and group counseling focused on education and prevention Lead prevention groups, workshops, and classroom-style presentations Develop and follow individualized education or treatment plans Monitor student progress and provide referrals when needed Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential documentation Collaborate with wellness staff, counselors, and center leadership Follow Job Corps policies, ethical standards, and confidentiality guidelines
