The PRISM Technical Agile Lead is a member of our Software agile team responsible for defining Stories and prioritizing the Team Backlog to streamline execution of our vision for our cloud-based sensor management and data analytics software product called PRISM. The TAL will work with our Product Management team to create a vision for award-winning software solutions for our IoT hardware devices. To succeed in this role, you will have a passion for Agile software development with multi-terabyte datasets, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation, and shipping high-quality software that delivers value for our customers. We’re a globally distributed team that embraces the culture of remote working. We have some developers in our home office in Huntsville, Alabama and some throughout the United States. We use Slack to stay connected and do in-person hackathons often. We move fast by building our products in the Microsoft Azure cloud ecosystem using agile software development techniques, automated testing, continuous integration, and microservices. Our backend stack is ASP.NET Core and Azure Cosmos DB, and front-end is done with Angular and TypeScript. Our machine learning and AI systems are built on Python, TensorFlow, and scikit-learn. We self-manage our projects through Azure DevOps (VSTS) with Git source control repositories. However, because of our innovative culture, we’re open to suggestions on how we can improve our stack and deliver value to our customers faster. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or a related degree, or equivalent professional experience
  • 7+ years of experience as an Agile practitioner
  • Experience working in and with teams developing User Interfaces and APIs for stand-alone or cloud-based applications
  • 7+ years of experience working with teams developing, mobile, desktop, cloud or embedded applications
  • Experience writing user stories for development and QC.
  • Experience demoing products to engineering, sales and marking executives and customers

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with high-scale SaaS software systems built for the cloud.
  • Experience as an Engineering Manager or Product Manager
  • Self-motivated to learn and stay on top of new technologies
  • Experience with MS Azure, Amazon AWS or Google Cloud

Responsibilities

  • Work with the Product Management to develop short term goals (release roadmaps) and long-term goals (vision) for PRISM
  • Engage with internal and external customers to understand their use of legacy products and problem solutions using PRISM
  • Work with a team that includes front-end developers, back-end developers, data scientists, business analysts, QA and documentation to create compelling software products for our customers.
  • Work with our customers and UX leader to help define and detail user stories that contain appropriate content for tasking, execution and acceptance (definition of done)
  • Work with the PRISM architecture team to assist in technology stack decisions
  • Participate in team demos and retrospectives
