Then you are exactly the type of person Morning Brew needs to join our team. Morning Brew is looking for a technical director to join our production team. This person will be responsible for assisting in the technical production of our shows and working with control room equipment, cameras, and microphones to help deliver the highest quality podcasts possible. This person will be primarily responsible for the video and audio quality of the show. This person also has to be a morning person! They will be working with our Morning Brew Daily team, our daily business podcast show that starts recording bright and early in the 5 am hour. Your day would begin with MBD and then assist our production teams in preparing for the rest of the day. This position is based in our New York City HQ and will require you to be in-person. Great candidates are comfortable working on deadlines in a fast-paced environment and it’s perfect for a technical director looking to be a part of a creative team constantly trying different things.

Requirements

  • Knowledge in a control room environment
  • Experience Adobe Premiere and Photoshop, experience with after effects a plus
  • Outstanding communication, collaboration and organizational skills
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to work on tight deadlines
  • Minimum 2-3 years experience in media and podcast production

Responsibilities

  • Operate Ross Carbonite Video Switcher during tapings
  • Edit audio version of the podcast in Pro Tools
  • A strong sense of viral trends the show would be able to recreate through the Morning Brew Daily lens
  • Being part of the creative and development process
