As a Technical Field Sales Specialist (TFSS), you will be a trusted technical expert and partner to both our customers and sales teams, helping bring complex architectural projects to life through knowledge, collaboration, and hands-on support.

Requirements

  • Strong technical knowledge of glass, aluminum framing systems, or architectural hardware
  • Experience in glazing, architectural products, or commercial construction
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Willingness to travel and spend significant time in the field
  • Proficiency with communication tools such as phone, Microsoft Teams, and email

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with OBE, US Aluminum, CRL, or Coral product lines
  • Experience in technical sales, field sales support, or product training
  • Background working with glaziers, fabricators, architects, or contractors
  • Experience delivering training or presentations
  • Spanish language skills are a plus

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a technical expert in glass, metal framing systems, or architectural hardware, supporting key product lines such as US Aluminum, CRL, and Coral
  • Provide real-time technical guidance to customers and internal sales teams via phone, Teams, and email
  • Support system selection, detailing, and problem-solving for complex project applications
  • Partner closely with sales teams in the field (4+ days per week), participating in customer meetings, jobsite visits, and project reviews
  • Act as a technical liaison between customers, sales, and internal teams to ensure successful project execution
  • Deliver engaging technical training sessions to strengthen product knowledge and sales effectiveness
  • Contribute to revenue growth by supporting opportunity development and helping close technically complex projects
  • Document field activity, training efforts, and technical contributions to support continuous improvement
