About The Position

Are you an engineering student seeking rewarding, practical experience with a world-class engineering firm? The Applied Research Associates, Inc. (ARA) office in Tyndall AFB, FL is seeking an engineering intern available to work this summer. The Intern may support a variety of research and development efforts involving (but not limited to) the fields of airfield pavement design and operations. Under direct supervision, engineering interns may perform any or all of the following tasks: Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and scientific reports. Research, evaluate, and operate mechanical equipment. Confer with engineers to resolve issues and provide technical information. Prepare data tables and charts for use in engineering. Perform product testing and assist in creating models and prototypes. Engineering intern requirements: Must be currently enrolled as an engineering student (mechanical or civil engineering preferred) pursuing a bachelor’s degree at an accredited U.S. college or university Academic coursework in engineering principles and CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks) Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Must have demonstrated scholastic excellence, such as valedictorian of High School Class Internship will be from May 11, 2026 through August 7, 2026. Due to the hands-on, collaborative nature of this internship, candidates must be available to work in the Tyndall AFB, FL office. No remote/hybrid option is available. Requirements

  • Must be currently enrolled as an engineering student (mechanical or civil engineering preferred) pursuing a bachelor’s degree at an accredited U.S. college or university
