Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Technical Policy and Risk Analyst III to join our team! What You'll Be Doing: The Technical Policy and Risk Analyst III leads efforts to research, evaluate, and determine the impact of emerging technologies on established security practices. This role is responsible for updating technical security policies and recommending appropriate countermeasures to address evolving threats. The analyst oversees working groups to develop mitigation strategies and standard operating procedures, and advises senior agency security managers and program officials on the implications of new technologies for the protection of people, facilities, and information. The analyst participates in Department and interagency policy development working groups, including the Committee on National Security Systems (CNSS), the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), and the Overseas Security Policy Board (OSPB). The analyst represents the Office of Security Technology (ST) or the Office of Technology Innovation and Engineering (TIE) during the review and generation of Department of State policy, Foreign Affairs Manuals (FAM), and Foreign Affairs Handbooks (FAH). The analyst also coordinates with subject matter experts to respond to requests from Foreign Service posts for technical security exceptions and provides technical guidance and interpretation of countermeasures-related policies and standards. The analyst is responsible for working with data throughout its lifecycle, including collection, management, analysis, reporting, and secure disposition, to support policy development and risk management activities.
