About The Position

Zoox is building autonomous mobility from the ground up. Our Fleet Operations are an integral part of building towards live service. Within it lies Rider Support, which communicates to riders through in-vehicle communication systems, phone calls, emails and chat. We are looking for a Technical Product Management intern who will support the Rider Support Tools product team in building new functionalities for our operators to use in live service. In this Role, You Will... Define product requirements and roadmap for rider support tools that automate and optimize operational workflows Collaborate with product managers, engineers, software teams, and operations stakeholders to identify high-impact automation opportunities and translate them into product specifications Conduct user research and data analysis to measure efficiency gains, validate solution effectiveness, and iterate on product capabilities Build prototypes, write technical specifications, and create go-to-market plans for new product features Present findings and recommendations to cross-functional leadership teams

Requirements

  • Currently working towards a B.S., M.S., Ph.D., or advanced degree in a relevant business program
  • Good academic standing
  • Able to commit to a 12-week internship beginning in May or June 2026.
  • At least one previous industry internship, co-op, or project completed in a relevant area
  • Ability to relocate to the Bay Area, California, for the duration of the internship
  • Interns at Zoox may not use any proprietary information they are working on as part of their thesis, any published work with their university, or distribute it to anyone outside of Zoox
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to translate technical concepts for diverse audiences
  • Curiosity, a desire to figure out how to make things better.
  • Experience with product management tools (Jira, Confluence, Figma, or similar)
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with data-driven decision making
  • Understanding of the product lifecycle management, AI/ML concepts and automation technologies

Nice To Haves

  • You have completed a previous technical product management internship at a technology company
  • You have experience working with Operations and Maintenance teams and understand operations workflows
  • You have experience in process improvement methodologies
  • Coursework or projects in human-computer interaction, product management or process optimization for operations management
