About The Position

A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers. In this role, you will leverage your experience and technical expertise to lead projects with numerous cross-functional teams. You will plan requirements with internal customers and external partners to usher projects through the entire project life cycle (PLC). This includes working with customers to develop project scopes, managing project schedules, identifying risks, and clearly communicating goals to project stakeholders. Your project teams can span offices, time zones, and hemispheres, and it’s your job to keep all the stakeholders coordinated and informed on the project’s progress and schedule. Using your extensive technical and leadership skills, you will manage projects of various size and scope, identifying future opportunities, improving processes, and driving the technical directions of your programs. You will have experience managing technical projects in a changing industry, being able to tolerate ambiguity and demonstrate problem-solving leadership with limited oversight. The Data Center team designs and operates some of the most sophisticated electrical and HVAC systems in the world. We are an upbeat, creative, team-oriented group of engineers committed to building and operating powerful data centers.
