About The Position

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you'll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You'll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers. The Central Fleet team is responsible for provisioning fleet compute and storage resources to Google resource managers while managing the cost, health and life cycle of the underlying fleet of machines. Our team leverages Google resource abstraction systems to expose and execute on opportunities for inventory and fleet optimization. We partner with the fleet's stakeholders, giving them a platform to influence fleet composition and design. The mission is to synthesize all stakeholders needs and orchestrate changes to the fleet, driving the fleet evolution. As a Technical Program Manager for resource management/Central Fleet, you will be central to the advancement of Google's mission to catalog the world's information at a global scale and leading cross-functional programs aimed at solving some of Google's testing problems in cloud computing and pushing the leading edge of modern operations management. You will work with Google physical supply chain, Data Center planning, and Software Engineering teams to design, deploy, and manage the systems that are used to optimize Google immense fleet of shared compute and storage resources.

Requirements
