You’ll work closely with Hardware Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Test Engineering, Quality, CapEx, Supply Chain, and Operations teams - both at WHOOP HQ and at production sites - to ensure our products are developed, validated, and launched on time, at scale, and at the right quality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related technical field.
  • 4+ years of experience in program management, manufacturing development, or hardware engineering.
  • Proven success leading cross-functional programs through NPI and mass production ramp.
  • Experience working directly with overseas manufacturing partners in Asia, especially in consumer electronics or similar high-volume hardware industries.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes including SMT, assembly, test, and pack-out.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, align stakeholders, and drive structured problem solving in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills; able to tailor messaging for technical and executive audiences.
  • Proficiency with Excel, Gantt tools, Jira, Confluence, GDrive, and PLM systems (e.g. Arena).
  • Willingness to travel internationally up to 25% to support supplier builds, validation activities, and operations reviews.

Responsibilities

  • Lead manufacturing program execution for new hardware products, from early development through mass production ramp.
  • Drive contract manufacturer preparation and readiness for EVT, DVT, PVT, and pre-production builds.
  • Own program schedules, build plans, risk trackers, issue lists, and validation milestones across internal and external teams.
  • Drive production process development, documentation, optimization, and validation in partnership with cross-functional engineering teams.
  • Lead readiness efforts with Test Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering across test deployment, debug planning, equipment setup, and process integration for each build phase.
  • Act as the central point of coordination during high-pressure NPI phases, ensuring alignment, timely decision-making, and clear accountability across functions.
  • Communicate structured and concise program updates to stakeholders across engineering, operations, and leadership.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of NPI processes, documentation, and tools to support scalable program execution
