About The Position

This position is responsible for the overall technical project leadership of electronic stability control device (ESP) and/or Integrated Power Brake (IPB) products within large North America OEM. As Technical Project Manager (TPM) you are overall accountable for the technical success of the project. You will lead a multi-cultural team composed of component managers, Function and Performance Developers who are in offices/test facilities around the world. First point of contact for the overall technical development within the internal engineering teams; including software, calibration, hardware, and system. First point of contact for OEM in the areas of E/E, Software, and vehicle performance topics. Ensure system and software development, validation, and delivery are according to guidelines and processes (e.g., ISO26262, ASPICE). Oversee vehicle application/calibration/tuning of ESP and IPB algorithms based on established methodologies both in vehicle and lab/offline environments. Project handling and project documentation according to specified processes. Monthly reporting of project status to senior management in USA. Work package definition and tracking, release planning, resource planning, quality assurance according to System Development Handbook process landscape. Responsible for evaluating customer specifications including support of translating the system requirements into Rational DOORS (and related IBM based products), evaluating requirement and test coverage, and support of issue / defect tracking. Support vehicle test environment and lead both internal and customer meetings. Prepare and communicate technical presentations for the customer. Flexible, willing to travel (4-6 weeks / year) and participate in test drives (international travel possible). Flexible, willing to flex working hours to allow daily international collaboration while achieving a good work/life balance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (ME, EE, or related)
  • 3 or more years of experience in technical project management, project lead, or project management
  • 3 or more years of experience in automotive, motorsport or heavy equipment industry with a focus on electronic braking systems.
  • 2 or more years of vehicle networking, diagnostics and debugging complex systems and/or hands-on (mechanical or electrical) experience
  • Valid driver's license
  • Indefinite U.S. work authorized individuals only. Future sponsorship for work authorization unavailable.
