About The Position

JT4, LLC provides engineering and technical support to multiple western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force, Space Force, and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, better known as J-Tech II. JT4 develops and maintains realistic, integrated test and training environments and prepares our nation's war-fighting aircraft, weapons systems, and aircrews for today's missions and tomorrow's global challenges. JOB SUMMARY - ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES Plan, design, write, edit, and proofread documents such as external customer correspondence, contract deliverables, and training manuals, and internal documentation such as proposals, correspondence, and contract requirements. Employee will be responsible for the following functions/duties:

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in English, Journalism or related discipline and at least three years of job-related experience or equivalent work experience and training.
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Must have working knowledge of word-processing and integrated software applications
  • Must possess organizational skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work
  • Must qualify for and maintain a government security clearance
  • Must possess a valid, state-issued driver's license.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, image and text editing tools, and SharePoint
  • typing speed of at least 45 words per minute
  • experience with AI-based computer tools
  • Knowledge of technical or engineering terminology is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Advise program management teams and external customers on proper procedures and requirements for document publication, including detailed knowledge of customer specifications, documentation guidelines, and publication standards.
  • Edit reports, publications, and manuals to ensure clarity, consistency of format, and accuracy of grammar, spelling, and technical content.
  • Collaborate with engineers and technical professionals to write, edit, and publish a wide range of customer deliverables, including training manuals, concepts of operations, and contractual documents.
  • Interface directly with external customers to provide documentation, editing, and publication support.
  • Manage quality control, production, and distribution of documents in accordance with customer requirements, schedules, and delivery timelines.
  • Utilize appropriate software tools for document creation and production, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Research and implement effective electronic documentation methods to improve efficiency while maintaining high-quality output and rapid turnaround times.
  • Establish and maintain electronic and/or hard-copy document libraries and work-order files for all materials received and processed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned in support of organizational and program objectives.
