About The Position

We are seeking a customer-focused Technical Sales Manager to drive revenue growth within our Plastics Business Area. This role combines technical expertise and commercial sales leadership to develop new business, expand strategic accounts, and increase adoption of advanced plastics decoration technologies. You will own the full sales cycle—from prospecting through launch and long-term account growth. Success is measured by revenue growth, pipeline strength, customer acquisition, and market expansion.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years in technical sales, application engineering, or business development within plastics decoration or related manufacturing.
  • Proven success in new customer development and territory growth.
  • Strong consultative selling, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of IMD, heat transfer, or hot stamping technologies.
  • High mechanical aptitude and ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Salesforce preferred.
  • Achieve measurable year-over-year revenue growth.
  • Develop new accounts and expand existing business.
  • Maintain a strong, active pipeline.
  • Support growth objectives with up to 50% travel.

Responsibilities

  • Develop new customers across general plastics markets.
  • Build and manage a strong opportunity pipeline.
  • Drive specification wins for IMD, heat transfer foils, hot stamping technologies, and related products.
  • Expand market share within strategic accounts.
  • Deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations.
  • Travel to customer sites for prospecting, trials, validation runs, and relationship development.
  • Serve as the primary commercial and technical contact for key accounts.
  • Lead application strategy for foils, hot stamp equipment, and tooling.
  • Manage project lifecycles from feasibility through production launch.
  • Provide on-site application support and training.
  • Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, and project teams to ensure successful launches.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitive activity.
  • Identify growth opportunities and provide customer insights to guide innovation.
