Be part of something bigger. What You’ll Do: The Technical Services Intern provides essential technical support for Royal Credit Union under the guidance of the Information Technology Manager. This role involves installing and configuring PCs, software, hardware, and peripherals, as well as performing routine troubleshooting and maintenance tasks to ensure optimal system performance and team member satisfaction. Requirements

• Enrolled at a University or Technical College throughout the length of the internship, pursuing a degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, or similar field.
• Must be bondable
• Strong customer service orientation and ability to communicate effectively.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities for complex technical issues.
• Proficiency with Windows-based systems, Microsoft Office, and common hardware like PCs, printers, and mobile devices.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and adapt to frequent interruptions.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working in a Desktop/Help Desk Support role supporting a Windows environment.
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to Royal team members across various communication channels, ensuring timely and effective issue resolution.
• Install, configure, and maintain desktop and mobile devices, software, and network-based systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system issues by identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate inventory records of IT assets including PCs, printers, scanners, and mobile devices.
• Document desktop, application, and network configurations, and collaborate with other departments for efficient problem-solving.
