As our Technical Services Manager, you will help lead the reliability, automation, and OT backbone that keeps our operations running safely, efficiently, and cost‑competitively. Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial) or a related technical field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • Background: Experience in technical services, maintenance operations, reliability, or controls/OT in high‑speed manufacturing.
  • Technical depth: Familiarity with PLCs (Allen‑Bradley/Siemens), HMIs, SCADA/MES, industrial networking, sensors, pneumatics, motion, and power transmission.
  • Mindset: Hands‑on, data‑driven, and eager to learn—you are comfortable digging into a line issue in the morning and presenting a plantwide reliability plan in the afternoon.
  • Leadership: Ability to set priorities, develop people, and collaborate across Operations, Engineering, Quality, and IT.

Responsibilities

  • Help guide Technical Services & OT health: Lead maintenance engineering, automation support, initiatives, and controls/OT standards across lines and utilities
  • Drive reliability: Elevate PM, PdM, and condition‑based programs; lead root‑cause analysis (RCA) and corrective actions to improve and OEE.
  • Advance automation through project management: Scope, commission, and optimize controls upgrades—PLCs, HMIs, variable‑frequency drives, safety circuits, vision systems, and robotics.
  • Strengthen OT/IT: Partner with IT on industrial networks (EtherNet/IP, Profinet, VLANs), data flows (SCADA/MES/CMMS), and cybersecurity best practices.
  • Mentor and grow a capable team: Coach staff/technicians/engineers; help to establish skills matrices, training plans, and clear work standards that raise the bar every quarter.
  • Champion safety & compliance: Ensure machine guarding, LOTO, and functional safety practices; uphold SQF/GFSI/OSHA/ EPA as applicable.
  • Measure what matters: Use line diagnostics, historian/MES data, and CI methods (Lean, SMED, TPM, Six Sigma) to target loss drivers and eliminate waste.
