About The Position

As a technical writer you will analyze, review, and research current business practices and industry benchmarks to create easily accessible internal policies, procedures, and assorted documentation. Duties include coordinating and collaborating with internal and external organizations and subject matter experts, analyzing information required for developing and updating security-related policies/procedures, providing technical editing services, and promoting knowledge sharing.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Business or another related field from an accredited college or university (Relevant experience may be substituted for formal education or advanced degree)
Minimum of Eight (8) years of experience
Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "PUBLIC TRUST"; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of their PUBLIC TRUST prior to onboarding with Guidehouse. Candidates with an ACTIVE PUBLIC TRUST or SUITABILITY are preferred
Demonstrates abilities and success with identifying and addressing client needs: actively participating in client discussions and meetings; communicating a broad range of firm services; preparing concise, accurate documents
Must be organized, self-motivated and able to multitask in a fast paced and dynamic work environment
Demonstrated ability to excel both independently and as a team member in a lively, collaborative environment
Possess an acute awareness of organizational cultures and political savvy

Nice To Haves

Experience with the DoD, Military Health System
Masters Degree in Business or another related field from an accredited college or university

Responsibilities

Design and standardize all style guide formats, editing workflow processes and document templates for the organization.
Develops document writing training material for the creators of documentation to ensure standards and processes are followed.
Leverages and implements where possible the Department of Defense (DoD), Federal Information Processing (FIP), Government Printing Office (GPO), or commercial documentation standards as appropriate to the assignment.
Provides guidance and assistance to technical writers.
Assists senior leadership with high visibility documentation and acts as the most senior writer to deliver those documents.
