About The Position

The Work Controls Technician position reports to Director of Facility Systems; and works closely with Director of Building and Grounds Maintenance and Support (BGMS) and Facility Master Planner. The function of this position is to provide project oversight on Computer Maintenance System customizations/enhancements, technical support for maintenance shop crewpeople on tablets/iPads, and support for BGMS Director and Facility Master Planner on utilization of Computer Maintenance System.

  • Must understand and respond appropriately to customer needs and maintain a positive attitude with all customers and colleagues
  • Expected to interact with all internal and external customers in a friendly, professional manner and provide quick, responsive customer service
  • A High School education or GED is preferred
  • Minimum of six months experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Asset management in Computer Maintenance System and equipment warranty database for all shops.
  • Work with Facility Master Planner on asset alignemnt with Facility Condition Assessment (FCA)
  • Preventative Maintenance (PM) work order management in Computer Maintenance System for all shops.
  • Manage contractors as active users of Computer Maintenance System.
  • Set up and deploy tablets/iPads to shop crewpeople
  • Organize and facilitate Computer Maintenance System configurations/customizations with specific team
  • Inventory management in Computer Maintenance System
  • Maintain databases, spreadsheets, letters/memos, and presentations
  • Research data and generate routine monthly reports as requested
  • Provide additional system administrative support to Computer Maintenance System when needed
  • Work order desk support
  • Post materials and labor costs to work orders, close work orders daily
  • Assists with additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
