POSITION OVERVIEW The Technician Apprentice is charged with repairs and maintenance of diesel and gasoline engine commercial trucks according to company and factory specifications.

Requirements

  • Strong verbal and documentation skills.
  • Strong character and work ethic.
  • Dependable and responsible team player with a positive attitude.

Nice To Haves

  • CDL License preferred.
  • Bilingual Skills preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performs work as outlined on repair order under direct supervision, in accordance with company and factory standards.
  • Communicates with parts department to obtain needed parts.
  • Saves and tags parts of the job if under warranty or if requested by the customer.
  • Documents all work performed and recommended on the repair order.
  • Participates in manufacturer sponsored training programs, schools, and events.
  • Keeps abreast of manufacturer technical bulletins.
  • Reports machinery defects or malfunctions to manager.
  • Ensures that vehicle is kept clean.
  • Notifies service advisor/leadman immediately of anything that has happened to change the appearance or condition of the vehicle.
  • Keeps shop area neat and clean.
  • Maintains and is accountable for all company-owned tools and manuals.
  • Returns them to the proper place and in the same condition as when they were received.
  • Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
  • Reports any safety issues immediately to management.
