Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required; automotive coursework preferred.
0–2 years of dealership or shop experience (internship/co-op acceptable).
Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record; ability to operate manual and automatic transmissions.
Basic knowledge of vehicle systems and routine maintenance.
Ability to use basic hand tools, lifts, tire machines, and scan tools under supervision.
Strong attention to detail, reliability, and willingness to learn.
Ability to follow repair documentation, safety procedures, and timekeeping standards.
Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand/bend for long periods, and work in variable conditions.
ASE entry-level certifications preferred or willingness to obtain within 12 months.

Responsibilities

Perform basic maintenance services including oil and filter changes, tire rotations, battery service, wiper blades, bulbs, and fluid top-offs.
Complete entry-level inspections and document findings clearly.
Mount, balance, and repair tires; set and verify tire pressures and torque specs.
Assist senior technicians with light repairs and teardown/setup tasks.
Move vehicles safely and maintain clean, organized work areas.
Use basic scan tools to retrieve codes under guidance.
Follow repair orders, timekeeping, and parts procedures accurately.
Adhere to all safety, environmental, and PPE standards.
Communicate with service advisors and teammates regarding status and needs.
Support shop supply and tool inventory management.
Perform other duties as assigned to support shop efficiency.
