Responsibilities Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade computer hardware and software. Inspect, diagnose, repair, and service a variety of computer systems and peripheral, audio-visual, telecommunications, power backup, and network equipment. Contact vendors to order component parts, file warranty claims, and resolve issues. Utilize a variety of electronic testing and diagnostic tools to troubleshoot and repair problems. Consult peer and senior department staff as necessary to resolve issues. Document, track, resolve, and report on problems and work orders using a web-based ticket management system. Pick up equipment for repair and return to site when complete. Prepare technical documentation, reports, and correspondence. Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies. Participate in special projects as required. Respect the confidentiality of records and District information in accordance with accepted professional ethics, state and federal laws, and Board policy. Maintain the confidentiality of information shared by high-level staff as necessary for the completion of duties.
