About The Position

In the Assembly Technician role, you assemble, wire, and modify work based on specified guidelines in the manufacture of medium and high voltage, indoor and outdoor assemblies, breaker and auxiliary compartments, breakers, customer service orders, power modules, and any sub-assemblies associated with these. Work to manufacturing information, electrical and mechanical drawings, sketches, written or oral instruction from supervisor or team lead to established procedures. Fill out ISO checklists, quality checklists, customer checklists, feedback forms, and production lists for supervision, drafting, customer service, and engineering as required. Mount and install electrical equipment and perform wire operations as needed. Regularly lift and assemble with heavy copper parts. Report shortages to appropriate operators of Kanban inventory. Inspect all assemblies for loose or missing hardware and cleanliness. Respond to change notices, customer requested adjustments, and development needs. Assist engineering, drafting, and supervision with customer-initiated development work. Able to effectively train and coach colleagues to ensure knowledge transfer and skill development. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • Use and knowledge of using hand and air tools.

  • Strong verbal and written communication, persuasive abilities, and analytical problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals and teams in a collaborative environment.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as business needs require.
  • Ability to safely use hand and power tools, step ladders, and cranes to assemble products and verify quality in a Lean environment.
  • Proficiency with standard computer applications (Microsoft Outlook and Teams) and job‑specific systems such as ENOVIA.

Nice To Haves

  • At least 1 year of manufacturing experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
  • South Carolina Manufacturing Certification (SCMC) or equivalent
