Summary The Technician III supports TSMD’s laboratories and technical teams with sample preparation, advanced test preparation and execution, data analysis and reporting, CNC programming, machine and tooling setup, and problem solving and project support.

Requirements

  • Advanced knowledge of technical subject matter and applicable tests, instruments, and/or equipment in work area.
  • Works independently to execute assigned work.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Able to keep detailed notes and well-organized data.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds on a regular and routine basis.
  • Frequent bending and twisting required.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) as defined by process.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares product or test samples.
  • Sets up and programs complex equipment, assemblies, and experiments.
  • Applies advanced knowledge of technical area and equipment to execute work instructions and experimental plans.
  • Conducts routine equipment maintenance and troubleshooting, communicating with equipment technical support to investigate issues.
  • Prepares setup documentation and programs.
  • Prepares reports with data, analysis, and conclusions and presents findings to technical teams.
  • Supports senior level technicians, manufacturing personnel and engineers with advanced project execution.
  • Takes initiative to drive continuous improvement.
  • Helps onboard and train Technician I and II personnel.
  • Understands and adheres to all safety requirements.
  • Communicates identified risks to leadership and assists in resolution.
  • Completes all 5S (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain) standards to maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
  • Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
  • Contributes to culture through alignment with company values and code of conduct.
  • Maintains a positive attitude, displays enthusiasm for assigned tasks, and communicates effectively and professionally with team members.
  • Other related duties.
