About The Position

This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities. This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a single-configuration, heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to low-Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar, and beyond. Its first stage is fully reusable, and the vehicle was designed from the beginning to be human-capable. We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Requirements

  • Education: Minimum High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience: Minimum 1-2years in a manufacturing assembly setting
  • Physical ability: Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Attention to detail: High level of accuracy and focus on quality control.
  • Basic mechanical skills: Understanding of machinery operation and ability to troubleshoot minor issues.
  • Teamwork: Working effectively with other production workers on the assembly line.
  • Following instructions: Ability to follow established procedures and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Operating machinery: Running various production equipment like conveyor belts, automated machines, and hand tools to manufacture products.
  • Material handling: Feeding raw materials into machines, measuring and weighing materials as needed.
  • Assembly: Assembling components on a production line, following proper assembly procedures.
  • Quality control: Inspecting products for defects, ensuring they meet quality standards, and removing faulty items.
  • Packaging: Packaging finished products, labeling, and preparing them for shipment.
  • Maintaining cleanliness: Keeping the work area clean and organized, following safety protocols.
  • Basic troubleshooting: Identifying and reporting minor equipment malfunctions to maintenance personnel.
  • Following production schedules: Meeting production targets and deadlines.
  • All while adhering to safety and quality standards
