About The Position

Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Technician IV - 2nd Shift at our Reno, NV location! The core hours are 2:30pm to 11:00pm. Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times. The hourly rate for this position is $27.17 per hour + $0.50 per hour shift premium. What you’ll do: In this function, you will: Operate assigned machines/presses Troubleshoot various machinery problems Perform coil changes QC and document all parts run on machines Retrieve and enter data into SAP computer system Verify inventory of components and supplies as needed to ensure efficient and timely production Keep work areas clean and safe Other various duties and responsibilities as may be assigned

Requirements

  • No relocation package offered. Candidates must reside within 50 miles of the work location to be considered for this position. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitations.

  • Able to operate machinery and presses safely
  • Able to read and accurately interpret and produce parts from blueprints and shop drawings
  • Able to identify different gauges and types of raw material
  • Able to work effectively and productively as member of a team with minimal supervision
  • Able to stand on feet continuously during working shift, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment as required by company policy and procedure.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience confirming that parts conform to specs using measuring tools.
  • A minimum of 6 months of experience with forming or bending machines
  • A minimum of 6 months of experience reading drawings or blueprints
