This position ensures that electronic products meet internal quality expectations and industry standards, including IPC compliance. The technician will utilize various rework tools and diagnostic equipment, document work accurately, and contribute to continuous improvement and team success in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of PCB construction, soldering techniques, and electronic repair methods.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools and diagnostic equipment.
  • Ability to control heat during rework to avoid damaging sensitive components.
  • Skilled in interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and rework instructions.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing documentation systems (Epicor, VKS).
  • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be a US Person (US Citizen, person granted US Permanent Resident Card or any individual who is granted status as a "protected person”
  • GED/High School Diploma

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in electronics or two years of rework & repair experience.

Responsibilities

  • Performing inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of electronic assemblies, including identifying and resolving defects such as lifted pads, cracked traces, solder bridges, and delamination.
  • Utilizing precision tools such as soldering irons, hot air rework stations, microscopes, hot tweezers, and vacuum pick-up tools to perform detailed rework.
  • Following IPC 610, IPC 620, and IPC 7711/7721 standards to ensure compliance and quality workmanship.
  • Using diagnostic equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and X-ray tools to verify board functionality and identify faults.
  • Reading and interpreting circuit diagrams, technical manuals, and documentation to guide repair processes.
  • Supporting root cause analysis and corrective actions for nonconformances and process-related issues.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams including engineering, quality, and production to ensure repair goals are met.
