Role Overview The Technology Business Analyst serves as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating business needs into functional and technical requirements. This role is also responsible for creating, executing, and managing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) test scripts to ensure technology solutions meet business expectations and quality standards prior to deployment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in a technology-driven environment.
  • Hands-on experience creating and executing UAT test scripts.
  • Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Experience with requirements documentation tools and test management tools.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies.
  • Familiarity with Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, or similar tools.
  • Knowledge of QA best practices and testing methodologies.
  • Experience supporting enterprise systems or large-scale technology implementations.

Responsibilities

  • Elicit, analyze, document, and validate business and functional requirements for technology initiatives.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand processes, pain points, and desired outcomes.
  • Translate business requirements into clear functional specifications and user stories.
  • Collaborate with developers, product owners, and project managers throughout the SDLC.
  • Support solution design by ensuring requirements are complete, testable, and aligned with business goals.
  • Develop detailed UAT test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on business and functional requirements.
  • Coordinate and execute UAT activities, including test scheduling, test execution, and defect tracking.
  • Validate system functionality against business requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Document test results, identify defects, and work with technical teams to support issue resolution.
  • Obtain business sign-off confirming solutions meet acceptance standards.
  • Act as a point of contact between business users and technical teams during implementation and testing.
  • Facilitate meetings, workshops, and walkthroughs for requirements and UAT.
  • Assist with change management activities, including impact assessments and user documentation.
  • Provide post-implementation support as needed.
