We take pride in being a great place to work, and this enthusiasm is reflected in the relationships our team members foster with one another and with our customers.  Job SummaryCandidate may reside anywhere in the United States but must be willing to travel to various locations for all board meetings.   We are seeking a Technology Expert to join our Farm Credit Services of America Board of Directors. In this role, alongside the Board, you will be responsible for setting the overall strategic direction of FCSAmerica. The Board oversees the Association’s affairs and establishes policies with the objective of improving the Association’s technology.Qualifications Minimum of five years of senior level leadership/management experience in business technology. Knowledge of the financial services industry, agriculture, and/or cooperative or similar business model. Experience and knowledge in information technology, technology strategies, technology implementation and emerging technologies for large corporations. Time Commitment Four-year term beginning September 1, 2026. Ability to commit an average of 40-45 days/year for attendance of Board Meetings and related activities. Ability to commit appropriate time to meeting preparation. Ability to travel, including some overnight travel.   Candidate may reside anywhere in the United States but must be willing to travel to various locations for all board meetings.Knowledge or experience in the following areas Technology Strategic Direction and Counsel Governance Effectiveness Organizational Performance & Finance Risk Oversight Talent Management Communication

Requirements

  • Minimum of five years of senior level leadership/management experience in business technology.
  • Knowledge of the financial services industry, agriculture, and/or cooperative or similar business model.
  • Experience and knowledge in information technology, technology strategies, technology implementation and emerging technologies for large corporations.
  • Ability to commit an average of 40-45 days/year for attendance of Board Meetings and related activities.
  • Ability to commit appropriate time to meeting preparation.
  • Ability to travel, including some overnight travel.
  • Must not be a director or employee of an organization that offers financing or risk mitigation products offered by AgCountry Farm Credit Services (AgCountry), Farm Credit Services of America (FCSAmerica) or Frontier Farm Credit (Frontier).
  • Must not have been an officer or employee of a Farm Credit System institution, within the past 12 months.
  • Must not be a Director of another Farm Credit System institution.
  • Must not be a customer of AgCountry, FCSAmerica, Frontier or a Director, officer, employee, stockholder or agent of a customer of AgCountry, FCSAmerica, Frontier.
  • Must not have been convicted of any criminal offense involving dishonesty or breach of trust or held liable for fraud.
  • Must be under the age of 70 years old at the start of board term.

Benefits

  • Per Diem for business meetings and related travel time ($600/day)

  • Average annual compensation of around $80,000 to $85,000
