About The Position

The Technology Solutions Architect (TSA) – Intelligent Managed Print Services (iMPS) is responsible for the end‑to-end design and architecture of Ricoh’s Intelligent Managed Print Services solutions, aligning client business needs with Ricoh’s portfolio of services, technologies, and digital workplace solutions. This role is primarily focused on solution offering shaping and design, ensuring that managed print and related digital services are thoughtfully designed, technically sound, scalable, secure, and deliver measurable business outcomes for clients. The TSA acts as a trusted advisor during the pre‑sales phase, translating client requirements into well‑architected, cost‑effective solutions that leverage Ricoh’s capabilities. TSAs are a vital link in the sales support value chain to ensure that Ricoh recommendations are correctly solutioned. The TSA will be called on to participate in pre-sales and design activity. The TSA is responsible for understanding the client technical environment and delivering highly effective solutions to meet those requirements. This individual provides expertise in the Ricoh portfolio of services and solutions, is responsible for a cost effective and correctly designed solution and the proper hand off to Sales and Implementation teams. The TSA masters a specific range of solutions/enablers determined by market demand and company needs and is considered a subject matter expert in two or more Services disciplines. Requirements

  • College degree (computer science, information systems, engineering) or equivalent experience in a related field preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of related work experience including a demonstrated track record of success in technical sales support and/or industry related experience, 5 years preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Visio required
  • Advanced working knowledge of a defined set of Ricoh and 3rd party products and associated environments
  • Requires proficiency in document process analysis · current and future state
  • Ability to analyze data from multiple sources to identify issues and propose solutions
  • Strong technical writing, communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to be an agile learner (learning on the fly)
  • Working knowledge of computer operating systems, servers and network environments
  • Interpersonal, time management and organizational skills

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design of Intelligent Managed Print Services solutions, including device management & monitoring, document & service workflows, scan and capture, security, analytics, and cloud‑enabled services.
  • Engage with clients to understand their business objectives, operational challenges, and technical environments, ensuring solutions are aligned to both current needs and future-state goals.
  • Shape comprehensive solutions using the Ricoh services and technology portfolio, integrating managed print with adjacent digital, professional, and IT services where appropriate.
  • Serve as a critical partner to Sales by participating in pre‑sales discovery, solution design, and proposal development, ensuring recommendations are technically accurate, value‑driven, and client‑centric.
  • Act as the primary iMPS design lead through the design phase, providing clear documentation and ensuring a seamless and effective handoff to sales, implementation, and delivery teams.
  • Provide subject matter expertise across Intelligent Managed Print Services, maintaining a deep understanding of Ricoh platforms, tools, and emerging technologies that support digital workplace transformation.
  • Primarily supports sales and delivery teams across the western United States, including the Mountain and Pacific time zones, and must be available to collaborate with those teams during their standard business hours.
  • Analyzes and documents customer technical requirements and designs solutions
  • Designs solutions to be utilized in client's environments
  • Adheres to Ricoh's Services Engagement Model throughout the opportunity lifecycle
  • Responsible for maximizing profitability on assigned solution projects
  • Provides sales support with customized technical demonstrations, as needed
  • May require knowledge of networking, databases, security and document Process
  • Acts as subject matter expert on two or more critical Services Ricoh portfolio elements
  • Provides accurate estimates of labor required to implement solutions
  • Provides input to Ricoh Sales teams on the development of Statements of Work for solutions
  • Participates in solution feasibility reviews to present technical validation of solution design
  • From time to time will be required to install solutions in customer environments
  • Utilize sophisticated diagnostic tools in the assessment of client environments prior to solution implementation
  • Interface with customer information technology organizations to understand current technology environment
  • Maintain their technical certifications, as well as obtain the expertise and knowledge on product & solution training specific to the needs of their function.
  • At the direction of Mgr, assists sales and leadership in providing direction for account strategies relative to the leveraging and positioning of Ricoh's portfolio of solutions
  • Performs daily administration of Services system of record
  • Performs other duties as assigned
