Location: Macon/Butler/Columbus, GA (Primary) Travel: Occasional travel to other GA based markets The Construction Manager at Velox is responsible for leading the execution of telecom construction projects, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery of fiber infrastructure. This role oversees field operations, supervises construction teams, manages budgets and schedules, and partners closely with senior leadership to drive project success.

Requirements

Several years of construction management experience, preferably in telecom or utility construction
Proven ability to lead field teams and manage multiple projects
Strong knowledge of construction methods, safety regulations, and industry standards
Experience managing budgets, schedules, and subcontractors
Proficiency with project management tools and reporting
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Willingness to travel for extended assignments as required

Responsibilities

Lead the planning, scheduling, and execution of telecom construction projects
Manage and develop construction supervisors and field teams
Oversee project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation
Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality requirements, and company procedures
Serve as a primary point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders
Coordinate with engineering, permitting, logistics, and operations teams
Manage subcontractors, vendors, and contract compliance
Monitor project performance and resolve issues to keep work on track
Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting
Drive continuous improvement in construction processes and execution
