About The Position

As a Telecommunications RF Engineer & Analyst, you will provide RF engineering and wireless network analysis support for a nationwide public safety broadband network. Your work will focus on radio access network (RAN) performance, RF propagation, coverage modeling, and interference analysis to support oversight and continuous improvement of mission-critical communications infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 8+ years of professional experience
  • Experience with LTE, 5G, and broadband network technologies
  • Experience with RF planning and network analysis tools (e.g., InfoVista Planet, Atoll, ArcGIS, MapInfo, TEMS, Rohde & Schwarz tools)
  • Background in telecommunications engineering or network performance analysis
  • Experience supporting federal or large-scale infrastructure programs
  • Demonstrated experience in RF engineering, wireless propagation, or RAN performance analysis
  • Knowledge of LTE/5G RF fundamentals including SINR, RSRP/RSRQ, carrier aggregation, and spectrum planning
  • Experience supporting coverage validation, optimization, or interference mitigation efforts
  • US citizenship or permanent resident and the ability to pass public trust clearance or suitability

Responsibilities

  • Analyze wireless network performance and coverage data, including LTE and 5G technologies
  • Develop technical analyses, coverage maps, and reports using industry-standard tools
  • Review and interpret network metrics to identify trends, gaps, and improvement opportunities
  • Prepare technical briefings and documentation for government stakeholders
  • Support risk identification, issue tracking, and technical recommendations
  • Perform RF propagation and coverage modeling for LTE and 5G public safety networks
  • Conduct interference, signal quality, and spectrum analysis to identify performance issues
  • Analyze drive test data and field measurements to validate coverage and network performance
  • Support evaluation of RAN design parameters including antenna configurations, frequency bands, and throughput constraints
  • Develop technical recommendations related to coverage enhancement, deployables, and network evolution
  • Review wireless engineering deliverables such as link budgets, propagation plots, and coverage predictions
