The Telecommunications Specialist plays a key role in making sure our phone systems, mobile devices, radios, cabling, and related technologies simply work every day. This role is hands-on, service-oriented, and deeply connected to how our team members support guests and each other across all Ko-Kwel properties.

Requirements

  • Friendly and approachable attitude that helps guests (and the team) feel welcome and cared for every day.
  • An associate degree in Telecommunications Technology or a related field. A mix of education, certifications and work experience may be considered.
  • Three years of relevant support experience in an enterprise environment
  • A strong sense of organization, follow-through, and attention to detail
  • A service-first mindset with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
  • Comfort juggling multiple tasks in a dynamic, operational environment
  • Solid problem-solving skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure
  • Must pass and remain in compliance with background check and drugfree workplace policies.
  • Comfortable communicating clearly and positively with both guests and teammates.
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, evenings, and after-hours support as business needs require.
  • Frequent standing and walking, with occasional climbing or balancing.
  • Regular use of hands for handling tools, devices, and controls.
  • Ability to lift up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 80 pounds occasionally with assistance.
  • Vision requirements include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
  • Ability to manage stress appropriately and remain professional in fast-paced or high-pressure situations.

Responsibilities

  • Make sure the space stays safe, clean, and friendly for both guests and the rest of the team; speak up and report any safety concerns to the Safety Committee.
  • Supporting and maintaining telephone systems, mobile devices, radios, cabling infrastructure, access control, key control, video conferencing, messaging, and audio-visual systems
  • Responding to telecommunications work requests and helping ensure issues are resolved accurately and in a timely manner
  • Assisting with system documentation, inventories, and basic change tracking
  • Helping maintain preventive maintenance and disaster recovery practices for telecommunications systems
  • Providing friendly, clear support and guidance to business units using telecommunications systems
  • Collaborating closely with IT teammates to ensure consistent standards and dependable service delivery
  • Participating as a project team member in the evaluation and implementation of new or upgraded systems
  • Jump in where needed to support the team and keep things running (Other duties as assigned)
