Telephone Operator
About The Position
ATA Services is looking for a full-time telephone operator for our client Hawaii's State Hospital in Kanehoe. Please review the details listed below: Description of Duties Provide communication services and operate a multiple-line telephone console to receive and place incoming and outgoing local, long-distance, and interisland telephone calls, provide information to callers, staff and visitors, monitor emergency signal and alarm systems. General Job Duties Maintains a long of daily activities, including long-distance calls, emergency communications, alarms, and codes. Maintains and updates daily calendar, patient information log, staff contact information and visitor log. Issues safety equipment to staff/personnel. Renews employee ID cards and information. Receives patients’ valuables and logs information. Responsible for after-hours duties not limited to mail handling and receiving patients’ valuables and monies. Maintains custody of select keys.
Requirements
- Ability to use a multi-phone line console
- Write and communicate proficiently and legibly
- Perform clerical tasks
- Proficient with Microsoft Office programs
- Ability to lift and carry moderately heavy (25-50 pounds) packages, supplies and equipment or the ability to compensate satisfactorily
