About The Position

Kensington Glass Arts specializes in high-end interior glass work, typically for law firms and organizations with very upscale office interiors. The company is unique in that we manufacture and install architectural glass products. KGa offers stability, competitive pay, comprehensive benefits package, and growth potential!! The Tempering Tech is responsible for operating and producing product on the tempering furnace. This position will temper the glass to high quality standards in a safe efficient manner that will insure on time delivery to the customer.

Responsibilities

Responsible for tempering all glass as required, in accordance with established standards and procedures.
Tracking and recording completed tempering work & breakage throughout the shop.
Responsible for preparing all glass for tempering, and preparing for shipment; dotting, stamping, etc.
Responsible for maintaining a clean work environment; cleaning up breakage, disposing of damaged glass, keeping a clean floor area around walking surfaces, keeping station desks clean and organized, etc.
Responsible for maintaining sample testing, recording and storage. Samples must be run at every glass change throughout the day.
Responsible for maintaining regular cleaning, repair and general maintenance of the machines and coordinating those efforts with our workload and management.
Expected to be a participant in any activity requiring additional help and organizing as required.
Expected to be instrumental and responsive to changes in the production schedule as required.
Other duties as assigned.
Tempering Tech will be OSHA 10 certified.
Participate in daily production meetings conducted by Manufacturing Manager.
