About The Position

The Temporary Camp Worker (Teacher Aide) will provide assistance as they are required to serve as a Teacher Aide for Dusty's Junior University Summer Youth Program. They are responsible to assist the classroom teacher, assist participants with activities and create a safe and positive learning environment. Assist in the Summer Youth Program classroom as needed.

Requirements

• Education - High school diploma or post secondary education.
• Experience - Must have experience working and leading children/youth.
• May NOT be a currently enrolled undergraduate student at Texas A&M International University.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
• Ability to: Communicate clearly and effectively to ensure understanding.
• Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Work with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.

• This is a temporary position, start date of June 1st to July 24.
• Position requires on campus, face-to-face interactions.
• Position requires maintaining a regular schedule of attendance on campus and in the workplace.
• Promptly complete all required training.
• Pay rate: $10.50 per hour

Responsibilities

• Assist in the supervision of the participants of Dusty's Junior University Summer Program.
• Will welcome participants to class, assist the instructor, take participants to and from the restrooms, lunch, classrooms and pickup and departure sites.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the instructor and/or Operations Manager.
