About The Position
We’re currently looking for an Temporary Care Companion in Columbus, GA31907 A lovely family in Columbus seeks a temporary care companion for the next 3 weeks for their 65 year old grandmother to start immediately. Care is needed 5 days per week (schedule varies), from 1pm-8pm, through Tuesday, March 24th. The client is friendly, enjoys watching television, and recently experienced a stroke. She currently wears a continuous heart monitor. The family is looking for a compassionate caregiver who can provide meaningful companionship, encourage light activity such as spending time outdoors (weather permitting), and help keep her engaged throughout the day. At times, her daughter and granddaughter may also be present in the home. Start date: Immediate End date: Tuesday, March 24th Schedule: 5 days per week (varies - see below), from 1pm-8pm Compensation: $13 per hour Days care is needed: Saturday, 3/7 Sunday, 3/8 Tuesday, 3/10 Wednesday, 3/11 Thursday, 3/12 Saturday, 3/14 Sunday, 3/15 Monday, 3/16 Wednesday, 3/18 Friday, 3/20
Requirements
- 2 years of paid, professional caregiving experience
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- CPR certified, or willing to become certified
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Ability to provide 2 care-related references
- Able to pass a background and social media screening
Responsibilities
