About The Position

The School of Computing at the University of Wyoming seeks qualified applicants for a temporary, non-tenure-track Lecturer position in the Applied Software Development (SDEV) program. This appointment is course-by-course and may involve teaching one or two undergraduate Software Development courses during a given semester. Courses may be delivered in face-to-face, hybrid, or online modalities, depending on program needs. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong potential for effective undergraduate teaching, practical knowledge of modern software development practices, and the ability to support students in applied, project-based learning environments.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a closely related field
  • Demonstrated knowledge of software development principles
  • Ability to teach undergraduate technical content effectively

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working as a software developer in industry
  • Prior college-level teaching experience
  • Professional experience in software development or related fields
  • Familiarity with modern programming languages, testing tools, version control, and agile workflows
  • Experience teaching online or hybrid courses

Responsibilities
